What does health surveillance involve?

The physician carrying out your health surveillance will assess the specific conditions of the role to determine the best method or methods to monitor the health of your workers. Common methods include collecting and analysing samples of blood, urine or hair, while more comprehensive tests may involve diagnostic methods such as ultrasound. The core components to all health monitoring programs include an interview and medical review of the employee.

Do hazardous substances not listed in the WHS Regulations require health monitoring?
