Yes, we provide comprehensive drug and alcohol testing as part of our occupational health programs. These tests can be tailored to your company’s specific policies and regulatory requirements. All 4cRisk doctors are Medical Review Officers (MROs) with the Australasian Medical Review Officers Association (AMROA). An MRO is a doctor with expertise in interpreting drug and alcohol test results and substance use disorders, and knowledgeable about over-the-counter and prescription medications and their effects on test results.

What’s the difference between an Occupational Physician and a General Practitioner (GP)?
plus in a circle icon

An Occupational Physician and a General Practitioner (GP) serve distinct roles within the healthcare system, each focusing on different aspects of health care. An Occupational Physician specialises in workplace medicine, primarily in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. Occupational Physicians are experts in understanding how work environments affect health and how health impacts an employee’s ability to work safely and effectively. Occupational and Environmental Physicians are uniquely trained to address work-related health issues. GPs in contrast, are medical generalists who provide primary medical care to patients of all ages from acute illnesses to chronic diseases. In summary, Occupational Physicians are specialists in work-related health and GPs provide broad primary healthcare.
