Hazardous substances to consider monitoring
Other hazardous substances that are not listed in the WHS Regulations don’t require health surveillance as part of your compliance and due diligence. However, depending on the level of risk, you may wish to consider monitoring exposure to:
- Antimony
- Beryllium
- Butanone (methyl ethyl ketone, MEK)
- Carbon disulphide
- Cobalt
- Cyclophosphamide
- Dichloromethane
- Ethyl benzene
- Fluorides (including soluble fluorides and aluminium fluoride)
- 4-methylpentan-2-one (methyl isobutyl ketone) MIBK
- Nickel
- Styrene
- Tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene)
- Toluene
- Trichloroethylene
- Uranium
