Offshore Energies United Kingdom (OEUK) medical assessments
Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) medicals are a requirement for workers deployed offshore in the oil, gas, and renewable energy industries.
Formally known as the UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA) these medicals can only be completed by accredited medical practitioners. Our authorised doctors have undertaken a training program in offshore environments and medical requirements facilitated by OEUK.
Accredited OGUK Medical Practitioners
4cRisk’s physicians are accredited by Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) to perform medicals for those deployed offshore in the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.
HUET and BOSIET Medical Fitness Assessments
Our OEUK physicians can also certify medical fitness to complete Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) and Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
An OEUK medical is valid for a maximum of 2 years and includes:
- Medical and occupational history
- Medical examination conducted by an OEUK Accredited Doctor
- Audiogram (hearing test)
- Spirometry (lung function test)
- Drug and alcohol test
OEUK Assessments are Critical to Maintaining Worker’s Health
Remote offshore oil and gas rigs, as well as wind turbine installations, present the challenge of supporting employees in harsh environments with limited access to medical resources. Ensuring workers' health is sustained in these conditions is critical, and OEUK assessments play a key role in achieving this. Employees with chronic health conditions may need more frequent evaluations by their treating physicians to comply with OEUK medical standards to maintain workforce readiness.
